Robust & Reliable
Aqua One's Thermosafe Heaters are ultra tough, with the benefit of being thermal shock proof and manufactured from toughened glass for extra durability. This means should the heater be removed from the aquarium water without first cooling down, it won't shatter as is the case with the majority of conventional glass heaters.

As ever with an aquarium heater, it's best practice to only switch it on whilst fully submerged in your aquarium. The 50w Thermosafe Heater model is thermostatically controlled and easily adjustable to the exact temperature requirement of your aquarium, meaning that it is literally a "fit and forget" item. Don't worry if the heater appears to switch on and off whilst in use... this is perfectly normal.
3 Year Warranty
Aqua One's lengthy product guarantees are well known in the fishkeeping world, bringing complete peace of mind to aquarium keepers throughout the UK and beyond. Of course, Aqua One's 50w Heater also benefits from a 2+1 year warranty period, although this is seldom required as Aqua One Thermosafe Heaters are extremely safe and robust in use and failures are extremely rare.
Choosing your aquarium heater
Generally speaking heaters are a "fit and forget" item and once set can more or less be left to work on their own, without adjustment. Although fully adjustable Aqua One heaters are preset at 24 to 25 degrees celsius, which is ideal for most aquarium setups. All Aqua One heaters provide peace of mind for the fishkeeper with their ultra reliability and come with a 2+1 year guarantee for extra assurance.
As a rule of thumb, you will need a heater that is equivalent in watts to the capacity of your tank in litres. For example, if you have a 100 litre tank you will need 100 watt heater. For larger tanks it's a good idea to use two smaller heaters that will provide the same combined output, but spread the heat more evenly through the aquarium.
Keep a spare heater
Whilst Aqua One Thermosafe Heaters are ultra reliable, with many thousands in circulation today, we still can't stress enough the importance of keeping a spare. Your aquarium inhabitants will start to suffer stress from to low a temperature far quicker than poor water quality and having a spare heater on hand will avoid unecessary suffering and discomfort to your livestock.
