Restores Performance

Comprising of all necessary filtration elements, the Complete Filter Media Renewal Kit has everything you need to maintain your aquarium filtration system in tip top condition and includes a 3c Carbon & Wool Pad, 3s Black Sponge Pad and 600g BioNood. If changing filter media in an established tank, change filtration items about one week apart to allow for the recolonisation of beneficial nitrifying bacteria on to the new filter media elements.

If you are setting up a new tank, this Complete Filter Kit contains all the items you need in one handy pack. For second hand aquariums we'd recommend discarding any remaining filter sponges, pads and media and starting with fresh ones that can get to work straight away as your tank matures.

Everything you need

Keeping your AquaStyle trickle filtration system in good working order is very easy thanks to Aqua One's made to measure filter cartridges and pads, along with their high quality bio media. All elements you need for your AquaStyle filter are included in the Complete Filter Media Renewal Kit including 3c Carbon & Wool Pad, 3s Black Sponge Pad and 600g BioNood for a single price that's cheaper than purchasing the items individually.

Whilst your filtration system may vary slightly from the one shown in the video below, you'll see that all filter elements work very hard in the filter system, removing waste and unwanted debris from the aquarium water. Overtime, these filter cartridges, pads and media will become clogged with aquarium waste and need to be rinsed and replaced.

Maintaining your filter

Fortunately maintenance is very easy in all Aqua One trickle filters and changing pads, cartridges and filter media can be done quickly and with the minimum of fuss. The carbon and wool cartridge cannot be rinsed and reused and should be changed every 4 to 6 weeks, the black sponge pad may be rinsed in a little aquarium water and reused (until the cell structure starts to deteriorate. The Bio Noodles should be rinsed and a few of the dirtiest noodles changed every few weeks when performing a parial water change.

It's really easy to replace the Filter Kit in your aquarium and this is one of the many great aspects of Aqua One's award winning trickle filtration system. Our recommendation is that the Carbon and Wool Cartridge is inserted inbetween the Black Sponge and the Ceramic BioNoodles for best performance, which may be slightly different to the instruction manual.
