Aqua One's Filter Maintenance Pack for Advance 1050 / 1250 is suitable for both the Advance 1050 and Advance 1250 canister filters and contains impeller set, filter tap set, main sealing ring and 3 x media container O rings to keep your filter up and running 24/7, every day of the year. All items included in the Maintenance Kit are genuine Aqua One original spec. items that were supplied with your canister filter when new.

Aqua One's Filter Maintenance Pack for Advance 1050 / 1250 is an exclusive Aqua One product, just for Aqua One Parts and provides all "emergency" items that can and unfortunately do fail from time to time, such as the filter taps, impeller and main seal. Whilst the media container O rings are extremely durable in use, they can be little fiddly and easy to lose whilst servicing your canister filter
Of course, all these items are available as individual canister filter spare parts for both Advance 1050 and Advance 1250 external filters, but having all key maintenance elements on hand for immediate problem solving should the worst happen, is a really smart thing to do and gives real peace of mind. It's also a bit cheaper than buying the items individually and saves on shipping costs too.
If you are renewing your filter or setting up a second hand filter for the first time, it's always a good idea to replace impeller, filter taps and main sealing ring from the outset, so that you know that they are brand new and will have a long service life. If servicing your filter, changing your impeller once per year will help to maintain the working life of your filter pump.
Once a year service
As part of your regular filter maintenance where you'll change filter media and pads, it's always a good idea to check the that the impeller isn't blocked and is spinning freely. At the same time, check filter taps and hoses for leaks and ensure that the main seal is in good condition too. Having a spare media container O rings on hand whilst servicing your filter is a smart thing to do also.
Both the Advance 1050 and Advance 1250 canister filters should give many years of loyal service if maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. In addition to normal monthly canister filter maintenance we also recommend a once a year service and maintenance schedule in order to keep your external filter in perfect working order which includes changing seals, taps and impeller set in order to help preserve the working life of the filter.
