417c Ceramic Cartridge from Aqua One - (25417c)

Aqua One's 417c Ceramic Cartridge is for us with the Moray 320 and Moray 320L internal filters and is designed to provide a home for beneficial bacteria to grow. The biological ceramic filter media contained within this cylindrical bio cartridge allow for the colonisation of millions of microscopic nitrifying bacteria that help to keep unwanted bacteria at bay. It's the same principle as Aqua One's very popular BioNood which is well known and respected in the fishkeeping world.

Change every 16 weeks

For best results we recommend changing the 417c cartridge every 16 weeks as it will have generally started to become clogged with aquarium waste. Sadly it's very difficult to rinse the 417c Ceramic Cartridge in aquarium water and we recommend changing the 417c in line with the manufacturers instructions, so that water flow doesn't become restricted within the internal filter.

Easy to install, low maintenance

The 417c Ceramic Cartridge is extremely easy to install and maintain, but it's always worth checking the condition of the 417c once a month to ensure that it's not become clogged with aquarium detritus. The cartridge can be rinsed in aquarium water initially, but becomes more difficult to clear after time and for this reason we recommend it's replacement after 16 weeks. As with all filter cartridges, the lifespan of the 417c Ceramic Cartridge will generally be determined by the quality of aquarium water in your fish tank.
